ODA 214 Cadre Events

ODA 214 Cadre events are free scenario-style games hosted by ODA 214 to raise scenario awareness and train scenario players in the DFW area.

What is a "Cadre?"

"Cadre (Hear it) is the backbone of an organization, usually a political or military organization. The expression can be in the singular or the plural. Generally it is applied to a small core of committed and experienced people who are capable of providing leadership and of training newer members."

Cadre events are run by ODA 214 members. We leverage years of scenario paintball experience to help introduce this style of game to players who might not normally play in a scenario event. The events are usually mini-scenarios or combination game/training events. The events are free to regular park visitors, and usually last 1-2 hours.

Game Features

• Scenario-style game theme.
• All-player, all-staff game briefing.
• Mission-based game play.
• Separate team mission briefings, goals and intelligence reports.
• Multiple dynamic missions. Success or failure determines your follow-on missions.
• Multiple reinforcement periods for return to the game.
• Training Officers for each team to act as scenario advisors, player coaches, and game referees.
• After action review (AAR) for the entire group to understand what went right, what needs improvement, and how to improve your scenario skills.

• Learn practical skills like shooting techniques, team communication and field navigation.
• Understand how scenario rule systems work, and how to get the most out of special roles and missions.
• Learn task-oriented planning and mission execution to make a difference on the scenario field.

So whether you've played in dozens of scenarios before or have never even played paintball, ODA 214 Cadre events will be challenging, fun games to liven up the usual paintball game day.
